SafeTemp - Mitigate Risks to Your Business

Updated: Jul 28, 2020

We recently heard a report of an employee that went to work despite being slightly sick. They eventually tested positive for COVID-19, which in turn forced their entire office to be shut down until the building could be sanitized. This is unfortunately part of our new reality. How can you screen both employees and customers entering your facilities without creating a bottleneck?

Some municipalities are now requiring businesses to institute measures to monitor if someone is sick and may potentially be carrying the COVID virus. It’s important to acknowledge that there is no full-proof way to way to tell if someone is infected, especially if the symptoms have not yet presented themselves. However, saying that taking any precautions is pointless is like saying that since a seatbelt can’t prevent a crash, it’s pointless to wear one.

Having a means to at least prevent a problem from becoming a catastrophe, is the first step in mitigating the risks that can affect your dealership. This brings us back to our original question: “How can you screen both employees and customers who are entering your facilities without creating a bottleneck?”

The answer is SafeTemp kiosks. These kiosks are designed to quickly scan a person’s temperature to verify that they are not running a fever. Facial recognition, for those who have been set up in the system, can also enable SafeTemp to keep track of when people have checked in. SafeTemp can tell if someone is not wearing a mask and request that they do so if that is required for your business.

Taking Action

The goal with SafeTemp kiosks is to identify problems at the door. This can prevent additional contamination to your facilities, or at the very least, enable you to more easily identify potential areas and people that may have been affected.

If your facilities have been compromised, we recommend using PurTeq to disinfect the problem areas as well as to provide a long-term barrier to prevent additional contamination. Using an agent that provides continuous protection is important, especially in high traffic areas where cleaning once, or even twice, a day isn’t enough.
